What is EFT ?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) belongs to a new class of treatments referred to as Energy Psychology. EFT offers the potential for rapid and effective relief from many emotional problems, including trauma, anxiety, phobias, depression, anger, sadness, grief, guilt, and many more, as well as physical problems, including carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, back pain, headache, toothache, asthma, diabetes, allergies, and many more.

Essentially, EFT is a form of psychological acupuncture, except we do not use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips on specific meridian points of the body, while being tuned-in to the problem.

This tapping balances energy meridians while experiencing, or thinking specifically about an emotionally disturbing event or physical discomfort and illness. Once balanced, the upset is usually resolved. The memory stays, but the emotional charge is gone.

Typically, if it is properly applied--over 85% of the people achieve either noticeable improvement or complete cessation of the problem. And the result is lasting and is also accompanied by positive changes in thinking and new insights. The technique is safe, non-invasive, easy to use, and is an excellent tool for self-help. EFT doesn't do everything for everybody, but what it does do will astonish you! 


The Origin of EFT

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) evolved from Thought Field Therapy (TFT), which was created by U.S. clinical psychologist Roger Callahan, Ph.D. He discovered that stimulating acupressure or energy points leads to psychological relief. Through research and experimentation he was able to discover a series of very useful points in human body.

Gary Craig a Stanford Engineer who studied with Dr. Callahan, is the Developer of EFT. He successfully identified a comprehensive set of all purpose energy points and improved the Callahan Technique (TFT) with one elegant protocol that could be applied to treat any emotional and physical problems. He named this new discovery--Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and indeed, he achieved excellent results with this approach on a wide range of emotional and physical problems.

Gary has dedicated his work and life to teaching people how to overcome emotional and physical blocks to success and has been emotionally, spiritually and financially generous with his discoveries.

The most exciting part about EFT is that anyone can learn this approach and use it to help themselves. Some problems require persistent tapping over a period of time, and some require the intervention of a skilled practitioner. However, many people can learn EFT and apply it successfully to the general problems and stresses in life.
